Heroes Men (and one more lady) at NBC Universal 2008 Press Tour Party

by Debbie

When I posted a look at the Heroes ladies yesterday, I hadn’t been able to find any photos of the gentlmen at the NBC Universal 2008 Press Tour Party. But now, courtesy of WireImage, we have a look at a few of the guys and one more of our Heroes ladies.

First up is Zachary Quinto, who (I’m glad to see) has his “Sy-brows” back.

Tim Kring Talks About ‘Villains’

by Debbie

13736540451press923200710337PM In an interview with the New York Times published today, Tim Kring talks about the upcoming season of ‘Heroes’ and how the story changed during the extra long hiatus created by the writers’ strike.  The article is a bit long, but a good read and includes a few tidbits of news that are different from other things we have heard about the premiere and the DVD release.

Here are some highlights from the article with some info we knew and some we didn’t:

Choose A Side ‘Heroes’ Trailer

by Debbie

I pointed you to the link for some of the trailers yesterday, but I wanted to actually put this one on the site. It’s my favorite trailer yet. Very intense! And it explains a lot of what the “Villains” storyline will be all about.

So here’s what I observed from the trailer:

  • The Villains have escaped from Level 5
  • Level 5 Files labeled “Knox” and “Jesse Murphy”
  • We see a trenchcoated figure carrying a handgun
  • Mohinder just “hanging around”
  • Matt is standing alone in a desert
  • Angela tells someone in a Level 5 cell, “You need to be strong for what’s to come”
  • Speedster grabs something from Hiro’s hands
  • First look at Bruce Boxleitner’s character, in a room with Ali Larter’s character who is wearing lingerie.
  • Sylar terrorizes Claire in her house
  • Mohinder injecting himself with a syringe, then kissing Maya
  • Future Claire aims a gun at Future Peter and says, “Sorry Peter, I always loved you” and apparently fires the gun.

Hayden Panettiere’s "Wake Up Call"

by Debbie

Obviously Hayden Panettiere is an actress. And we know about her work as Save the Whales advocate, involvement in the "Declare Yourself" campaign and Candie’s spokesperson, but you may or may not know that she is also a singer.

She’s got an album in the works, which she described as being "like pop, rock – maybe more of an R&B thing."  The first single, "Wake Up Call," is being used in the latest Candie’s television spot (which also happens to star Hayden). Take a look:

If you like what you heard, her new album and single will be available from iTunes starting August 5. And if you like what you saw in the commercial, you can buy the Candie’s items exclusively at Kohl’s stores.  So, what do you think of Hayden’s single?

Season 3 On Set Photos

by Debbie

Heroes France posted some recent on-set photos of scenes which feature Claire, HRG and Sylar. I’ve also included a few from the end of June that I didn’t get to share with you because of our server problems (just in case you haven’t already seen them elsewhere).

Of course it goes without saying that this post has a huge SPOILER ALERT. I’m putting the photos behind a cut so you don’t have to click if you don’t want to be spoiled.

‘Heroes’ Comic Con Appearances and Schedule

by Debbie

ccihdr_r1_c2 Comic Con International will be upon us in just about a week and we now have information about which of the Heroes‘ cast will be there and what the Heroes event on Saturday, July 26 will entail. From Comic Con’s website:

10:30-11:45 Heroes: Exclusive First Look at “Villains? and Q&A with the Entire Cast, Tim Kring, and Tim Sale— Heroes chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. Watch an exclusive first look at “Chapter 3: Villains.” Moderated by co-executive producer/comic book writer Jeph Loeb, participating in a Q&A session with creator Tim Kring, comic book artist Tim Sale (Batman: The Long Halloween), and the cast: Jack Coleman (H.R.G.), Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Ali Larter (Niki Sanders), James Kyson Lee (Ando Masahashi), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura), Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet), Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli), Zachary Quinto (Sylar), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder Suresh), Dania Ramirez (Maya Herrera), Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli), and Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli). Hall H

Looks like all the show’s biggest stars will be there. I would say, though, that the rumors that Tim Kring would show the season 3 premier in its entirety were wrong. The hour and fifteen minute panel would seem to rule that out.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attend so if you are planning to attend Comic Con and would like to share your experiences and/or photos with us, drop me an email and let me know. Just use the CONTACT ME link on the sidebar ——>

I have to apologize for my absence as well as the downtime on the site. I’m told that the server issues are fixed and after some brief downtime this week, we should be back for good…and better than ever. And that’s a great thing since there are lots of things happening in the world of Heroes over the next couple of months!

So here’s what we’ve missed:

The new Heroes “webisodes” have begun. The first one premiered on Monday. You can watch it below:

We’ve also heard quite a few spoilers from Kristin at E! Online and others around the web. They’re behind the cut, for those of you who don’t want to know. Read the rest of this entry »
